Board for a term ending July 21, 2022.
The Town of Enchanted Oaks is located near Gun Barrel City (really) in
Texas. According to Gun Barrel City’s website, “The town name is derived
from its motto, ‘We Shoot Straight With You,’ and its symbol, a rifle.”
Neil Jay Hain was appointed as a member of the board of management of
the Association of British Columbia Land Surveyors for a term of two years.
Stacy F. Robertson was appointed as chair of the Hospital Appeal Board for
a term ending December 31, 2023.
Seema Lal was reappointed as a public member of the board of the College
of Denturists of British Columbia for a term ending December 31, 2022.
Concetta Risi was reappointed as a public member of the board of the College
of Optometrists of British Columbia for a term ending December 31,
2022.
Thelma J. O’Grady was reappointed as a public member of the board of the
College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia for
a term ending December 31, 2022.
Smartmatic USA Corp., a manufacturer of electronic voting machines, is
suing a number of entities and individuals over media statements that it
(and another company named Dominion Voting Systems) rigged the 2020
U.S. presidential election in favour of President Biden.
The introductory paragraphs of Smartmatic USA Corp.’s defamation lawsuit
against Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudolph Giuliani, and Fox
News (and others) read like a children’s story:
1. The Earth is round. Two plus two equals four. Joe Biden and
Kamala Harris won the 2020 election for President and Vice President
of the United States. The election was not stolen, rigged or
fixed. These are facts. They are demonstrable and irrefutable.
2. Defendants have always known these facts. They knew Joe Biden
and Kamala Harris won the 2020 U.S. election. They knew the
election was not stolen. They knew the election was not rigged or
