PETER A. ALLARD
SCHOOL OF LAW
FACULTY NEWS
By Jeremy Schmidt, Ph.D.*
THANK YOU TO OUR ADJUNCT FACULTY
Adjunct faculty at Allard Law play a critical role in legal education. Their
involvement extends beyond teaching to coaching students for moots, overseeing
clinics, developing courses and mentoring students. We are grateful
to our many adjunct faculty who have provided Allard Law students with
an invaluable learning experience over many years.
“The contributions of adjunct faculty enrich the educational experience
of Allard law students in so many ways,” says Dean pro tem Janine Benedet.
“Our adjunct faculty help our students develop lawyering skills through
clinics, workshops and externships. They share specialized knowledge in
advanced courses in their practice areas. They teach large foundational lecture
courses. And they do all of this as a second job while maintaining their
busy legal careers. I am so grateful for their service to the law school and
the next generation of lawyers in this province.”
We had the opportunity to ask a few of our adjunct faculty about their
experiences and interests recently. Meet Vandana Sood, Caitlin Ohama-
Darcus and Jon Festinger, Q.C.
