through where they can get help and support, and increasing the chances
of getting the form correct the first time around, with benefits for everyone
involved in the process. It is a change that is easily transferable to other
court filings, and one that we are looking to introduce into other areas of the
legal system.
COVID-19 has accelerated the technological advances in our justice system
and challenged us to innovate. We have built a lot of momentum with
our judicial partners over the last 12 months. Thanks to these new budget
resources, we will be able to move forward with the important work yet to
do, to offer British Columbians greater access to justice and to offer all court
users, including the judiciary, lawyers and court staff, the kind of experience
they deserve for the challenging and important work they do.
