THE ADVOCATE 615
VOL. 79 PART 4 JULY 2021
Dear Editor,
Re: “Letter to the Editor”
(2021) 79 Advocate 287
First, I appreciate the Advocate’s
willingness to “wade into contentious
issues”. All lawyers know
that language shapes thinking. We
need to be able to raise and discuss
difficult issues, to challenge the
status quo, to develop our understanding
of the world.
Mr. Warsh’s recent response to
my piece in the Advocate (78 Advocate
775) has far too many inaccurate
and misleading represen-
tations to respond to in this space,
not to mention ad hominem attacks,
which are completely inappropriate
in civil discourse.
People who want to learn more
about Israel’s ongoing breaches of
international law should consult
Human Rights Watch, one of the
world’s most respected human
rights organizations, and read their
detailed report, released April 27,
2021: A Threshold Crossed: Israeli
Authorities and the Crimes of Apartheid
and Persecution (available
online: <www.hrw.org/report/2021
/04/27/threshold-crossed/israeliauthorities

Sincerely,
