Brendan Brock is an associate with Hakemi & Ridgedale LLP. His practice
focuses mainly on corporate, commercial and securities litigation.
Robert Diab is an associate professor at TRU Law. His research is focused
in the areas of criminal law, civil liberties and human rights.
George Douvelos is a commercial litigation lawyer in Vancouver. He tells
us that not only does he have an interest in ancient legal history, but also,
looking forward, he hopes that he will be able follow in the footsteps of one
of the leviathans of the bar, Sir Sydney Kentridge, Q.C., who appeared as an
advocate on his 90th birthday.
Louise Mandell, Q.C., is partner emeritus at Mandell Pinder LLP and a
leader in the field of Aboriginal law. She is also a former chancellor of Vancouver
Island University.
Anders I. Ourom is a lawyer who provides legal and governance advice for
societies, charities and other not-for-profit organizations. He is also an
accomplished climber whose publications include A Climber’s Guide to the

Robyn Young is a recent graduate of TRU Law. She is completing her articles
